I have been spending some of my summer days tending
Maddax. It is quite fun... for both. We go swimming, play on
the swings, ride the dog, eat pops, take naps, eat pops,
walk the dog, and our latest was going to the movies!
Cedar City PTA puts on a dollar show during the summer.
I had never gone before so I didn't know what to expect.
Megan did warn me though that he would want treats so
I planned ahead by making popcorn at home and filling
his sippy with the ever appropriate koolaid. I packed his
bag and we were off. Not knowing what to expect I mentally
prepared myself for the chaos about to unfold.
I quickly put my mom face on. There in the giant
theater sat about a million chatty kids all reaching into their
buckets of popcorn. It smelled like the nursry and mothers were
already bouncing their infants in the aisle. I was weary of the next 90
minutes. Lucky for me I had the best behaved child with me who sat
on my lap and enjoyed his popcorn quietly throughout the whole show!
I was lucky and because we had such a successful time, we just might
go back next week. Here are pics of the event and the rest of the day.
You are lucky! What a good kid. I can't believe you braved the movie! I don't even know if I could have pulled that off. :) It's going to be sad when you are gone! For all of us!
ReplyDeleteThanks, you're such a good fill-in mama! Very very brave thing of you to do, I don't know if i would've even attempted it! I'm sure Mad will thank you later on too!
